The Metra Electric District Physical Plant consists of a Four Track Mainline extending South from Roosevelt Rd. in
Downtown Chicago to near 115th St./Kensington on Chicago's Far South Side (with two tracks South of Kensington).
CTA Gray Line Trains would operate on the Inner (Local) Tracks from Downtown to 115th St.
Metra University Park and South Shore Line Trains would operate on the Outer (Express) Tracks.
A CTA Portable Farebox of the type that could be temporarily installed in the in-city Metra Electric District stations during the Red Line Shutdown (along with CTA TVM's and Ventra Units) -- To allow ALL Off-Train (In-city) MED Fare Collection (like the 'L') using ONLY Existing CTA Fare Instruments.
